The Mint 400 was memorialized by Hunter S Thompson in his "Fear and Loathing" articles, which later become a novel and film. The new piece - "Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride!" is an homage to Hunter and his Gonzo approach to life that many off-road enthusiasts espouse.
